Madoka Magica is one of my favourite animes (series&movies), it's super cute but also depressing lol. It has such a well thought out and amazing story and I really felt like the characters were all apart of my life. I was so sad and empty when i finished it for the first time, but I also understood what had to be done, which only made Madoka's sacrifice all the more poignant. my fav character is Madoka (not very original i know) but I honestly do relate to her! I love all the girls from the holy quintet & even kyubey despite his unknowlingly evil nature.. i'm also a big madohomu supporter - you can't tell me their love is solely platonic !! especially from Homura's side (i've read the manga :P). I also really enjoyed the Magia Record series, although not to the same level as the original - i still liked the characters (my favourite was Sana) and storyline & baby kyubey :3.
